MIDWAY HIGH SCHOOL

Location: Sampson County Public Schools, NC

Size: 91,600 sf
Year Completed: 2007

The two-story school has a combination of brick exterior, and concrete masonry. Classroom wings are framed at the second floor and roof with steel bar joists on load bearing block walls. Structural steel post and beam framing are utilized in the common areas and media center. The roofs for both the gymnasium and the auditorium are framed with deep long span joists. LHC also designed concessions buildings for both the football and baseball fields. The concessions buildings are constructed with timber roof framing and load bearing masonry walls.
