This groundbreaking project has been submitted for LEED Platinum certification and was named National Best Project for K-12 Schools by Engineering News Record.  The building is a positive energy facility achieved with an advanced building envelope, extensive use of solar energy, and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

The building is framed with steel joists on loadbearing CMU.
