The original Carmichael Auditorium has been completely refurbished, renovated and expanded into one of the premier facilities in college women’s basketball.  With the original building constructed as an annex to the adjacent historic Woollen Gymnasium the three free sides have been expanded with a wider concourse, a dramatic lobby with museum, offices and conference space.  The two-story expansion is framed with structural steel on concrete footings, intricately integrated with the existing building structural systems.  The structural scope of the project also included design of framing components for a new scoreboard and winch to raise and lower the scoreboard.
